Circuit Design Engineer

PGS Worldwide is actively seeking skilled Circuit Design Engineers to support ongoing projects for an Aerospace leader in Grand Prairie, TX. This is an initial 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity and I will respond immediately to all qualified candidates.

Job Description:

Circuit Design Engineer needed to develop CCA requirements, CCA design, CCA analysis, CCA layout support and complete component procurement and kitting. CCAs include high-speed serial and sensitive analog signals, and state-of-the-art FPGAs, RFSoCs, ADCs, PCIe, Ethernet, SRIO, etc.

PCB/CCA procurement, checkout, and integration support.

Comply with CCA Design Assurance process requirements.

Document CCA checkout procedures and development logs.

Support Packaging engineer with CCA footprint and interface cable design.

Candidate will also perform sustainment of design of a standalone functional test setup, plan and execute Environmental Design Verification Testing (DVT), EMI DVT, EIB, and Power Transfer, provide support to integration with the other test equipment or hardware including Telemetry Interface, support testing at a remote location or lab, and support integration and functionality in the Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) lab for an upcoming flight test.

Requirements:

6 or more years of experience with hardware integration, specifically on electronics.

2-4 years of experience developing and analyzing digital and analog circuits.

2-4 years of hands-on experience with circuit cards and electronics hardware.

2-4 years of experience with circuit analysis tools like SPICE.

Candidate must be able to perform circuit design, integrate hardware, and troubleshoot analog electronics/PCBs.

The candidate must have a strong analog design background to help integrate and troubleshoot hardware issues in a lab environment.

High driven individual willing to work with a senior engineer to learn and take over responsibility.

US Citizenship.

Desired:

Familiar with Siemens Xpedition circuit design tools.

Familiar with circuit design including high-speed serial and sensitive analog signals, and state-of-the-art FPGAs, RFSoCs, ADCs, PCIe, Ethernet, SRIO, etc.

Familiar with Hardware in a Loop (HWIL) setup to support system level verification

Familiar with the peer review process.

Familiar with electronics interfaces like cabling between sub-systems.

RF background is a plus.
