Possess or is qualified to receive Louisiana Pathways Trainer approval. Must be CLASS observer certification or pass certification within 12 months of hire date. Bachelor's degree or college work in child development, early childhood, child and family studies or closely related field preferred. Experience in conducting workshops, seminars, or other training for adults; good public speaking and presentation skills. Experience as early childhood program director a plus. Ability to travel as necessary, possibly overnight, to complete responsibilities following NSU Child and Family Network policies. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Good organizational skills. Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Good computer skills in word-processing and database programs adequate to meet registration and reporting responsibilities. Ability to work well with persons of all ages, races, sex, etc . Knowledge of the region's child care community, needs, and services available to parents a plus. Ability to work evenings and Saturdays and to assist with innovative and special projects.
