Hampstead Hospital & Residential Treatment Facility (HHRTF) is an acute inpatient psychiatric hospital and a residential treatment program that treats children, adolescents, and young adults. HHRTF is located in a beautiful setting in southern New Hampshire that provides plenty of outdoor areas to play, walk, and promote well-being. Children deserve to have healthy and happy childhoods so that they can grow into wholesome and happy adults. The Psychiatrist at Hampstead is a key role that involves assuming responsibility for the admission, continuing care, and discharge of patients at the Hampstead Hospital and Residential Treatment Facility (HHRTF). As a leader of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, the Psychiatrist provides expert psychiatric care, contributes to hospital-wide performance improvement efforts, and actively participates in various activities to ensure high-quality patient care. This role requires clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic psychiatric care setting.

Education:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited university
  • Completed an accredited residency program in Psychiatry

Experience:
  • Experience in treating psychiatric disorders in acute care and/or institutional setting preferred.
  • Three years of experience in a behavioral health setting treating child and adolescent populations highly desired.
  • Two (2) years treating children and adolescents preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New Hampshire

  • Aligned with NH's System of Care, supporting services that are: family-driven, youth-guided, community-oriented, trauma-informed, and culturally and linguistically competent.
