The Kelly Companies are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our team as a vital member of the Executive Team and play a crucial role in providing leadership and day to day oversight at our printing and communications plant in Maryland. As the COO, you will play a critical role in managing our entire facility including overseeing printing plant personnel, contracts, negotiations, maintenance agreements, and ensuring the efficient production of our total printing facility.



  • Lead, manage and direct a team of 100 printing plant personnel, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Work with ownership to develop and implement strategic plans to optimize operational efficiency, drive productivity, and meet production targets.
  • Oversee the negotiation and execution of contracts with clients, suppliers, and maintenance service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments, including sales, finance, and marketing, to align operations with business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction, implementing innovative solutions to drive operational excellence.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to maintain a competitive edge in the printing industry.

Qualifications Desired:

  • Proven experience as a COO or similar leadership role in the printing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of printing plant operations, including equipment, processes, and workflows.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a large team.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans and drive operational efficiency.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ideals of a problem solver, detective, and an advocate for employees, ownership, and customers.
