Description:
The County of Sacramento is seeking a highly qualified,determined and accomplished Chief, Division of Solid WasteManagement. Under general direction, the Chief, Division ofSolid Waste Management plans, organizes, and directs theoperation of the Division of Solid Waste Management of theDepartment Waste Management and Recycling.
Qualifications:
Any combination equivalent to experience and education ortraining that could likely provide the required knowledge andabilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain theknowledge and abilities would be: Either: 1. A Bachelor's Degreein business administration, public administration or relatedfield. Or: 2. Possession of a valid certificate of registrationas a civil engineer issued by the California State Board forProfessional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists (formerlyCalifornia State Board of Registration for ProfessionalEngineers). AND Either: 1. Three years of full-time paidexperience in the class of Waste Management Superintendent(formally Solid Waste Superintendent) in Sacramento Countyservice. Or: 2. Three years of full-time paid experience in theplanning, organizing, and direction of a solid waste operation oractivity. NOTE: A Master's Degree in Solid Waste Management orequivalent will be accepted in lieu of one year of the experiencerequirement.
