Chemical Technician

About the Role:

• We are seeking a candidate to transform proof-of-concept chemistry/ideas into lab or kilo scale processes with a focus on Advanced Manufacturing Technologies.


• The role involves installing and operating lab and kilo-scale equipment to demonstrate novel chemistries, validate concepts, and improve workflows with minimal oversight.


• The ideal candidate will assist scientists and researchers in troubleshooting process deficiencies for new product/process development and provide insights for overall program implementation and commercialization.

Responsibilities:

• Transform proof-of-concept chemistry/ideas into lab or kilo scale processes


• Install and operate lab and kilo-scale equipment (pumps, reactors, valves, filters, crystallizers, evaporators, etc.)


• Demonstrate novel chemistries, validate concepts, and improve workflows


• Assist scientists and researchers in troubleshooting process deficiencies Provide insights for overall program implementation and commercialization


• Deliver technology for scale-up and commercial implementation

Education Qualification:

• Associates through Masters Degree in Chemistry specialty, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience and comfortable working with chemicals (PPE provided)


• 2+ years of lab experience or recent grad with relevant qualifications Mechanical background preferred


• Motivated and takes initiative


• Previous lab experience required


• Bachelor's degree preferred, Masters degree may be overqualified but willing to perform tasks


• Comfortable with hands-on lab work, pipe & metal fitting


• Must be comfortable working on feet and be mechanically inclined
