Market Focus - Products and Industry Knowledge:
Candidates MUST HAVE experience selling the following chemical products:

•Phthalic Anhydride

•Pentaerythritol

•Sodium Tripolyphosphate

•Sodium Metabisulphite

•Methylene Chloride

Experience in the following industry segments:

•Resin

•Paint

•Food (meat) & Beverage

•Water Treatment

•Cosmetic

•Detergent/Soap

Job Overview:

Reporting directly to the Managing Director for North America, the Chemical Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in driving revenue and achieving growth targets in the North American region. This will be achieved through effective client management, strategic business development, and expanding the portfolio of chemical products.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrated track record of success, with 5-7 years of experience consistently meeting or surpassing revenue and margin targets, and possessing a robust customer portfolio.
  • Proven ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Expertise in driving the sales process from initial planning to successful closure.
  • Strong business acumen and deep industry knowledge.
  • Previous experience in chemical sales is essential, with preference given to candidates with international sales, import, or trade experience and an established international client base.

Role Requirements:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with customers and adeptly manage accounts.
  • Negotiate pricing with suppliers and customers to optimize profitability.
  • Drive growth by expanding the product portfolio and introducing innovative logistical solutions.
  • Develop and execute a strategic business plan to broaden the company's customer base and maintain a robust market presence.
  • Ability to work autonomously while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Present sales forecast data to management and deliver required reports to peers and senior leadership.
  • Monitor market trends and identify emerging opportunities and competitive threats.
  • Travel is expected to range from 30% to 50%.
  • Allocate resources effectively to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
  • Adhere strictly to all environmental, health, safety, and security regulations at the site, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Manage hazardous waste in compliance with all relevant regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
