About this Position:

We are seeking a strategic and agile Change Management Specialist to lead change in the Organizational Effectiveness (OE) Center of Excellence (COE). This role will be instrumental in building and developing change management strategies that will be deployed by internal/external HR stakeholders to elevate Honda's performance and capabilities. The ideal candidate will also understand the impacts of change management on the following areas of focus for the OE CoE:


  • Organizational Design/Design Thinking
  • Culture and Change
  • Transformation
  • Employee Engagement
  • Org/Team Effectiveness


Responsibilities include:

  • Define and champion a comprehensive change management strategy aligned with the COE's strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leaders to define and articulate the vision for change, ensuring it aligns with the organization's long-term goals.
  • Develop and revise change management playbooks/collateral to also include stakeholder identification, change impact assessments, training/communication plans, executive sponsor roadmaps, etc.
  • Provide strategic counsel to executive leadership on navigating complex change scenarios and aligning them with organizational goals.
  • Establish and lead strategic change forums, steering committees, or working groups to drive alignment and accountability across functions.
  • Leverage data-driven insights and key performance indicators to measure the strategic impact and effectiveness of change initiatives.
  • Anticipate and proactively address potential organizational, cultural, or market challenges that may arise during strategic change efforts.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by driving strategic change capabilities and competencies across the COE and broader organization.
  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends and best practices in strategic change management, incorporating innovative approaches into our methodologies.


Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic change management, with a proven track record of leading transformational initiatives at an organizational level
  • 3+ years (or relevant experience) of large project management
  • Experience in manufacturing, technology or automotive lines of business considered a plus

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Change Management, Organizational Development, Business Strategy, or a related field
  • Advanced degree and change management certification, highly preferred

Desired skills:

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to align change efforts with broader business goals
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities, particularly with senior executives
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and develop innovative approaches to strategic change challenges
  • Proficiency in utilizing data and metrics to track the strategic impact of change initiatives

    • Pay will be based on several variables that include, but not limited to, geographic location, work experience, education, etc.
