Position: Chambers Technician

We are experiencing exciting growth and has an immediate need for a Finishing and Processing Tech (Chamber Technician). Under limited supervision, they will carry out a variety of tasks in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment to prepare parts or subassemblies for the next step in the production process including internal assembly and/or packaging.

Essential Duties:

• Manually remove machining imperfections from parts utilizing the operator's skill and knowledge to efficiently perform the manual blending, polishing and creation of edge breaks on precision components.

• Perform processing steps including, but not limited to, graining, masking, deburring and cleaning.

• Apply directional lay patterns as required by customer drawings.

• Hardware installation

• Apply critical surfaces to meet customers' cosmetic requirements.

• Apply epoxy using a pneumatic epoxy gun.

• Package and ship vendor parts for outside processing

• Ensure that standard procedures are followed in all aspects of work including tool setup and operation, process verification, product inspection, documentation, and material handling.

• Ensure documentation, including certifications, work orders, process sheets, etc. are kept in order and filled out completely.

• Ensure that parts processing adheres to quality standards and customer specifications.

• General knowledge of cleanroom practices and the ability to work in a cleanroom.

• Perform tests required by customer specification (i.e. helium leak check)

• Follow all safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training a plus.

• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a production/manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of multiple types of pneumatic sanders and the proper application of each sander.

• Must be able to accurately follow detailed directions, read/interpret design/ technical drawings, engineering specifications, and process/equipment instructions.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

• Basic math or industrial mathematics desired.
