One of Century Group's banking and financial services client, located in Downtown LA, is looking to hire a temporary Settlements Specialist. You will be responsible for daily global settlements and maintaining time-sensitive settlements. This role is fast-paced and will interact daily with traders, brokers and external business partners. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $65,000 to $80,000 per year.
Job Description: - Process all non-dollar bond trades and foreign currency transactions for Global and Emerging Markets
- Fax and release trades electronically through the custody link to custodian banks
- Ensure accurate and timely settlement between custodians and brokers
- Assist resolving settlement inquiries and trade discrepancies
- Set up currency forward rolls, calculate and confirm the pair-off amounts with FX brokers
- Affirm and release currency trades in GTSS and alert FX traders and brokers with mismatch FX trades
- Monitor all delivery and cash instructions from brokers and custodians in various date files
- Prepare and resolve outstanding claims from custodians and brokers in a timely manner
- Identify and report any settlement issues and escalate to managers
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics
- Corporate Actions experience with Equity and Fixed Income Securities
- Knowledge of domestic and global fixed income and equity securities/instruments
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team
- Able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines
