Job Position: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide comprehensive anesthesia services and ensure 24/7 coverage for the Anesthesia service at the Blackfeet Service Unit. As a CRNA, you will play a crucial role in delivering safe, effective, and high-quality anesthesia care to our patients. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks including pre-anesthetic evaluations, preoperative and intra-operative care, postoperative care, and other duties relevant to the Indian Health Service (IHS) and Service Unit facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough pre-anesthetic evaluations to assess patients' medical history, current health status, and anesthesia risk factors.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to develop and implement appropriate anesthesia care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Administer general anesthesia and monitored anesthesia care in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, anesthesia levels, and overall well-being throughout surgical procedures.
  • Provide vigilant postoperative care, addressing pain management, recovery, and any potential complications.
  • Participate in patient education, explaining anesthesia procedures, risks, and aftercare instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting all procedures, medications, and patient responses.
  • Stay informed about the latest anesthesia techniques, guidelines, and advancements to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and continuity of services.
Qualifications:
  • Valid CRNA certification and current state licensure.
  • Graduate from an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
  • Demonstrated experience in administering general anesthesia and monitored anesthesia care.
  • Strong understanding of anesthesia principles, practices, and patient safety protocols.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with patients, medical staff, and support teams.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure and make swift, informed decisions during critical situations.
  • Dedication to upholding the highest standards of patient care, safety, and confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with the Indian Health Service (IHS) policies and procedures is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work in a 24/7 rotational schedule to provide continuous coverage.
