Completion of training program to qualify to sit for the certification exam required prior to employment. WORK SCHEDULE: This is a Non-Exempt (hourly) position Will typically work a daylight schedule Monday through Friday however flexibility is required regarding some evenings or weekends to accommodate consumer need. As a CPS, you are first and foremost a peer - meaning that you have lived experience with mental illness and/or addition - and can serve as a role model for recovery values and principles, providing hopeful information about recovery and wellness. You will work with persons served to set and work towards goals in the eight dimensions of wellness. Working with individuals in the community on goals Promoting a message of hope and recovery Assisting individuals with finding and accessing natural and community supports Maintaining all required paperwork Teaching problem solving and socialization skills ABOUT YOU We're looking for someone who is resourceful, compassionate, a good listener, a good advocate, and is willing to share their own experiences.
