Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant 2
Salary: 55,676-56,676 depending on experience
Work hours are typically M-F 8-4:30 but can be somewhat flexible i.e., 7:30-4:00
As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will provide Occupational Therapy and Active Treatment services to people with severe or long-term behavioral health conditions. You'll get to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team to discuss treatment goals, implementation, and documentation of progress.
Some of what you'll do
Actively engage our patients in direct care, leading or co-leading groups and individual treatment
Collaborate with an Occupational Therapist to provide OT services
Complete required documentation (e.g., Treatment Plans, Progress Notes)
Who should apply
A graduate of an approved educational program for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
Successful completion of the NBCOT COTA Occupational Therapy Assistant certification examination
Current Washington State license, or license eligible to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
Eighteen months experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant 1 or equivalent
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for the above qualifications, except for legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
Desired
Ability to assess, plan, provide, analyze, and grade programs/treatments under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
Experience developing and conducting psychosocial educational groups
Knowledge of medication education, relapse prevention, symptom management, skeletal, muscular and neuro-anatomy
