Job Description:

Under the leadership of the Director and Assistant Director and the direct supervision of the RN, the certified nursing assistant will take vital signs and assist with activities of daily living and comfort measures for an assigned group of patients. Recognizes the importance of meeting customer expectations, and demonstrates a positive attitude and efficient use of resources, and performs related duties as necessary to fulfill the customer's needs. Performs duties according to the policy and procedures of CHOMP, Westland House, and Hospice of the Central Coast if applicable.


Experience:
One year of experience as a nurse aide is preferred. Understanding of medical terminology is required.


Education:
High school diploma, G.E.D. or combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.


Licensure/Certification:
State of California C.N.A. certification required. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required. Individuals assigned to drive the Westland House van m ust possess a valid California driver's license.


Other:
For individuals assigned to drive the Westland House van, in addition to a valid CA driver's license, the following are required: an acceptable driving record of three points or less and participation in the DMV pull-notice program.

1.0 FTE, night shift/11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.

Pay Range (based on years of applicable experience):

$29.23

to

$39.09

The hours employees work determine when a shift differential is paid.

Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $2.01

Hourly Night Shift Differential: $2.95
