HealthRIGHT 360 is hiring full-time Medical Assistants (or CNA) at North County Serenity House in Escondido, CA . North County Serenity House, a program of HealthRIGHT 360, offers substance use disorder services with a focus on women. Our gender-responsive, trauma-informed environment integrates evidence-based practices to address both substance use and mental health conditions. Our residential facility accommodates up to 120 women, including space for children under 5 years old.


The Medical Assistant is a licensed or certified professional with training in medical assistance or substance use disorder. Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, they ensure optimal client treatment aligned with HealthRIGHT 360's philosophy. The Medical Assistant oversees participants and children in detox or behavioral health units, providing supervision during medication distribution, withdrawal management, and free time. They prioritize customer service, leading crisis intervention and participant stabilization with self-awareness and composure.




AVAILABLE SHIFTS:

  • Sunday thru Thursday 11-7:30am
  • Tuesday thru Saturday 11-7:30am
  • Sunday thru Thursday 3-11:30pm
  • Tuesday thru Saturday 3-11:30pm

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Registration or Certification as a Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, OR Substance Abuse Counselor from an approved/accredited California agency
  • Minimum two years of experience in human services, with expertise in substance abuse treatment, relapse prevention, and recovery OR experience in nursing home or mental health facility
  • Experience in acute substance withdrawal management preferred
  • Proficiency in trauma-informed care preferred
  • Successful track record in addressing substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, and related barriers to self-sufficiency preferred
  • Department of Justice background clearance will be required if hired
  • No parole or probation within the past two years
  • Understanding of substance abuse, mental health, and criminal background issues preferred
  • Cultural competence in working with diverse populations
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Outlook, and internet tools
