Our facility is committed to providing the highest quality of care and services assuring human dignity and quality of life for our residents, their families, and our employees. CNA DUTIES: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must be able to lift, turn, move, position, and transport residents, alone or with assistance. Observe residents' conditions, measuring/recording food/liquid intake and output as well as vital signs, then report changes to professional staff as applicable. Collect specimens such as urine, feces, or sputum. Must be able to explain medical instructions to residents and family members. Work as part of a medical team that examines and provides service to residents. Administer medications and treatments, such as catheterizations, suppositories, irrigations, enemas, massages, and douches, as directed by a physician or nurse. Answer residents' call lights. Provide residents with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed. Must be able to assist residents with baths, showers, personal grooming, feeding, and toiletry. Transport residents to treatment units, using a wheelchair or stretcher. Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents. Restrain residents if necessary. Prepare, serve, and collect food trays. Clean rooms and change linens as instructed. Deliver messages, documents and specimens. Answer phones and direct visitors as needed. Maintain inventory by storing, preparing, sterilizing, and issuing supplies such as dressing packs and treatment trays. Perform clerical duties such as processing documents and detailing residents' condition. REQUIREMENTS: CNA certification must be a graduate of a state approved CNA program.
