Shift : Days 5x8-Hours

Contract Duration:13 weeks

License Requirement: NY CNA

Certification Requirement: BLS, Covid, Flu, and current Immunizations

Required to: MUST float through out the facility. Expected to be able to work on ALL units.

MUST work every other weekend.

Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long-Term Care (LTC)

Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Long-Term Care (LTC) team. As a CNA in LTC, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care and support to residents in a long-term care facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for assisting individuals with their daily activities, promoting their well-being, and contributing to a positive living environment.

Responsibilities:

Patient Care:Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring residents' health and safety.

Help residents with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting and positioning techniques.

Medication Assistance:Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.

Keep accurate records of medication administration and report any discrepancies or issues promptly.

Collaboration with Healthcare Team:Work closely with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure a coordinated approach to resident care.

Emotional and Social Support:Foster a supportive and empathetic environment for residents.

Engage in meaningful interactions and activities to enhance residents' quality of life.

Observation and Reporting:Monitor and report any changes in residents' physical or emotional conditions.

Document observations accurately in residents' charts.

Maintaining a Clean and Safe Environment:Assist in maintaining a clean and organized living space for residents.

Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of illness.
