Penn Center Residential Care Facility is a subsidiary of AbbeHealth Services located in Delhi, Iowa. Penn Center provides mental health services to individuals who are working towards recovery and helps them return to living more independently in the community. We are looking for team-oriented nurses to provide care to individuals who are working on mental health recovery.

Sets up and distributes medications according to physician's orders.

Participates in total resident care through the development, planning, implementation,

and evaluation of each individual resident's care plan; including the physical, psycho/social, legal, spiritual needs of the resident.

Provides 1:1 interaction with residents.

Participates in the development, implementation, facilitation, and evaluation of resident

programming.

Participation in the resident orientation program.

Completes documentation of any changes in programming, as outlined in care plans or in addition to care plans, on an on-going basis.

Participates in mandatory educational programs.

Participates in intrafacility committees as assigned by administrator.

Attendance is an essential part of this position.

Other duties as assigned.



• Must have the CMA certificate from an accredited program (must provide copies of certificates of completion). Desirable to have a minimum of two years work experience with an emphasis in human services/mental health/mental retardation, and/or gerontology.


• Health examination and TB test at commencement of employment and thereafter as set forth by the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals.


• Pre-employment participation in mandatory drug testing, and thereafter as set forth by AbbeHealth policy and the Drug Free Workplace.


• Valid Iowa Driver's License or ability to get one shortly after employment.


• Results of Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet the requirements for violations as set forth in AbbeHealth's Vehicle Fleet Driving Program.


• Carry current automobile insurance in accordance with AbbeHealth's policies.
