Position Highlights:

$20-$24.72/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates
Additional pay for your bilingual skills.
Clinic Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
$2,500.00 Hiring/Retention Bonus Structure:
At Hire: $750.00
At 90-Days (3 months): $750.00
At 180-Days (6 months): $1,000.00
Bonus will be pro-rated based on Full Time Equivalency (FTE)

As a Medical Assistant working in Behavioral Health, you will have the opportunity to:

Maintain and update patient medical records, prepare for visits by reviewing files and collaborating with Providers
Assist in preparing exam rooms and explaining procedures to patients, collecting lab specimens, administering medication, and assisting physicians during exams and procedures
Provide education and respond to patient questions and concerns
Ensure completion of essential questionnaires and facilitate clinic flow with warm handoffs
Communicate with MAs and BHCs, support clinic resources, and manage patient lists
Handle scheduling & telehealth visits, administer patient screeners, and perform outreach to high-risk patients
Interpret for the Behavioral Health Consultant as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum high school diploma or GED
Completion of either an accredited medical assisting program, apprenticeship, or equivalent education/military training or two years of full-time MA work experience
CPR certification within 90 days of hire
National credential from AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT within 12 months of hire
Bilingual (English/Spanish) required at a level 10 for bilingual differential pay
Medical knowledge for understanding theories, reasons, and technical aspects of medicine
Strong people skills to handle diverse personalities, backgrounds, and situations
Excellent multitasking ability to manage varied workloads
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Epic, and EMR
