JOB SUMMARY

The Certified Dietary Manager is responsible for the Clinical Nutrition support for the skilled nursing fCommunity

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

Communicates with the Dining Services Management Team on operation problems, resident food service and therapeutic diets.
Collaborates with the Nursing Staff regarding resident centered care including diet or supplement changes.
Assess resident's nutritional needs and document food preferences upon admissions, quarterlies, & annuals
Collaborate with Interdisciplinary team (IDT) regarding resident care and provide documentation.
Consult with Assistant Director of Dining Services and/or Registered Dietitian as appropriate.
Assist in resident care planning and completing MDS evaluations.
Participates in daily morning meetings, monthly QAPI meeting, resident care plan meetings, and other IDT meetings.
Participates in in-service seminars and committees, as designated by management.
Perform meal rounds to assure food is served timely with the appropriate quality and quantity.
Assist Assistant Manager to conduct end of shift checks as needed.
Prints meal tickets and assists with entering any changes to menus
Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

One (1) or more years of experience in a management & clinical experience AND
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Registered Dietetic Technician (DTR) credential AND State of Illinois Sanitation Certificate
Knowledge of sanitation and regulatory requirements
Ability to work independently and be an active member of a team
Strong detail orientation
Ability to work cooperatively with employees and management
Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal direction
Strong organizational and time management skills
Customer service orientation
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
To perform those functions, the employee must be able to talk, walk, hear, see, bend, kneel, stoop, lift the required pounds listed above, have manual dexterity in their hands, think clearly, make decisions calmly and accurately, communicate cogently with their co-workers and residents, and work there regular scheduled shifts with occasional overtime.
