Certified Diabetes Nurse Educator

Longstreet Clinic is seeking a Certified Diabetes Nurse Educator to provide diabetes education for our patients. The Diabetes Nurse Educator will counsel our patients, and their families, to plan and manage nutritional/diabetic therapeutic regimens and assist with insulin dosage adjustments.

Successful candidate will lead Longstreet Clinic's ADA certified Diabetic Education Program. This position is responsible for individual and group patient education, leads Longstreet Clinic's quarterly education and advisory committee and provides service and support to Longstreet's Primary Care, Endocrinology, OB/GYN, Pediatrics and other specialties in the clinic. This role also works closely with Longstreet Clinic's Population Health and Care Management team and the primary care council.

License: Current and active license with the Georgia Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse is required. Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists from the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE). One or more years of clinical experience working with the diabetic population.
