Your Role:
- Monitor, maintain, and execute strategic logistics plans for bulk material movements between sources and terminal locations.
- Coordinate with operations and sales to facilitate planning for both internal and external movement of materials.
- Manage fleet sizes, working closely with barge and rail providers, and 3rd party carriers for truck deliveries.
- Provide weekly and monthly fleet reporting, focusing on detention times, cycle times, and cargo capacity utilization.
- Facilitate barge/railcar releases and billing activities, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting to the accounting group.
- Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, assisting the sales team in locating sites for new opportunities.
- Coordinate efforts between Sales, Operations, Accounting, and the Director of Logistics.
Who We're Looking For:
- Individuals with 3+ years of experience, preferably with a focus on rail or barge transportation/supply chain.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Professionals with a firm understanding of mathematics, basic accounting knowledge, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and respond quickly under tight deadlines.
