CDL Tandem Truck Driver

A local New Braunfels construction company specializing in commercial and residential development is looking for CDL Tandem Truck Drivers to join their team ASAP.

If a stable and family-like atmosphere is what you are looking for this is a great opportunity to gain experience and grow your skill sets while still making it home for dinner every night.

Once going permanent with the company, you are eligible for annual evaluations and raises based on performance, health insurance, and 2 weeks of accumulated vacation days.

Responsibilities:

Short Distance Driving (inside and within 60 miles of New Braunfels usually)
Communicating and coordinating routes with the supervisor to meet delivery schedule
Obeying and following applicable traffic laws
Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle
Reporting and correcting defects, accidents, and violations with the vehicle before driving
Complying with traffic rules and regulations
Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports to complete daily maintenance of the truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.)
Interacting with customers in a professional manner
Turning in load tickets to the office for daily reporting

Requirements:

Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check
Must have a clean MVR Report with valid CDL Class A Driver's License
Must have experience driving a tandem truck
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required
Valid DOT Medical Card
Must have the initiative, ability, and willingness to perform and assist with other job positions as required for job completion to include tarping, strapping down truck loads, and helping move products off the shelf.

Job Schedule:

6 AM - 5:30 PM
Mon-Fri

Job Pay:

$18-$20/Hour
Average 50-55 hours a week
