Job Duties: Coordinate the development and delivery of CDL training to students from a variety of backgrounds. Provide input on recruitment and marketing efforts. Administer required drug test on each student and comply with all state CDL/DOT requirements. Must be present on campus or training site for teaching and advising a minimum of 37.5 hours per week. Coordinate all classroom, driving range, and on-the-road training, and assist with adjunct instructors as needed. Counsel individual clients/students concerning the program and their progress and completion requirements. Escort students to Kentucky State Police testing facility and prepare them for successful completion of the Class A CDL driving test. Coordinate the operational needs and supplies for the program, working closely with others in the Workforce Solutions department that support the program. Other duties as assigned (may include department meetings, internal or external service, professional development, etc.). Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree and three years related experience, or equivalent. Current CDL Class A license. Additional requirements per the Kentucky Commission on Proprietary Education will apply. Ability to effectively communicate with and respond to diverse populations and situations that arise. Ability to think quickly and respond appropriately in high-pressure situations. Excellent organizational skills, time management, flexibility, and attention to detail. Ability to remain apprised of current industry standards and state laws and regulations. Ability to build and maintain internal and external work-related relationships.
