RESPONSIBILITIES Safety and Compliance- Inspect equipment for safety and compliance with State and Federal testing standards.
- Determines the physical and driving qualifications of employees for conformance to the established standards necessary for safe driving.
- Determines vehicle characteristics to ensure appropriate tests are administered.
- Actively participates in all training events of new regulations and reviewing current regulations regularly.
Operational Management- Input CDL skills test appointments in reporting/scheduling programs, as well as confirming all requirements have been met.
- Review documents for eligibility for CDL skills test.
Quality Assurance- Continually reviewing the CDL Examiner's Manual, State and Federal testing/training materials.
- Mandatory refresher training to stay in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
Reporting and Documentation- Maintain accurate records of tests conducted.
- Reporting of tests administered in a timely manner.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES- In-depth knowledge of both State and Federal regulations pertaining to the CDL program and how to reference such regulations.
- Ability to work with sensitive materials and maintain confidentiality and appropriate discretion.
- Proficient in technology and software relevant to conducting CDL skills examinations.
- Works effectively in team environment, participating and assisting their peers.
- Participates in the development and evaluation of program objectives and procedures.
- Effective problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills.
- Able to stand for long periods of time on blacktop and other surfaces.
- Ability to be outside for extended periods of time, in all weather conditions.
- Flexibility with assigned working hours
- The schedule for this position may require flexibility, including some weekends and overtime, based on the needs of the agency. This position is not eligible for telework.

- This position requires employees be able to stand up to eight hours a day and lift 10-50 pounds on a regular basis, as needed.
- Must report to work on a regular and timely basis and have exceptional attendance.

Requirements:At least three (3) years of instructor experience. Oklahoma Commercial Driver's License w/passenger & airbrake endorsements.
