CDL Driver & Operator / $25.0-$30.0 per hour / Columbus, OH

Must Haves: Essential Functions:1.Safe Operation of Vacuum and Dump Trucks:
•Drive and operate vacuum trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety protocols. Ensure the proper loading, transportation, and unloading of materials according to project requirements.2.Material Handling:
•Perform loading and unloading of materials using vacuum equipment and dump trucks, ensuring proper disposal or transfer according to project specifications and environmental regulations.3.Equipment Hauling:
•Safely load, secure, transport, and unload construction and other equipment using appropriate hauling vehicles. Ensure all transported equipment is properly secured and protected during transit.4.Routine Maintenance and Inspections:
•Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vacuum truck, dump truck, and associated equipment to ensure safe operation. Perform basic maintenance tasks and promptly report any mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel.5.Compliance with Regulations:
•Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations governing the transportation and disposal of materials, including hazardous waste regulations. Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including manifests and logbooks.6.Communication and Coordination:
•Communicate effectively with project supervisors, field crews, and clients to coordinate transportation activities and ensure project requirements are met. Provide updates on job progress, challenges, and any deviations from the plan.7.Emergency Response:
•Respond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations, such as spills or accidents, following established protocols and procedures. Take immediate action to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of personnel and the environment.8.Equipment Operation and Troubleshooting:
•Operate additional equipment as required, such as pumps, hoses, and valves, to facilitate material handling activities. Troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise and work collaboratively with maintenance personnel to resolve any mechanical problems.9.Adherence to Safety Protocols:
•Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to minimize risks and prevent accidents or injuries. Participate in safety training programs and promote a culture of safety among coworkers.10.Documentation and Reporting:
•Complete required documentation accurately and timely, including driver logs, inspection reports, and incident reports. Provide detailed reports on any accidents, near misses, or safety concerns to management for further investigation and action.11.Continuous Improvement:
•Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in transportation operations. Share feedback and suggestions with management to contribute to the ongoing enhancement of operational procedures.12. Must have CDL Education: High School Diploma/GED

Job Description: Position Title: CDL Driver / Operator

Reports To: Director of Environmental Services

About ERC:

We are an environmental contractor serving the environmental and civil contracting industry centered around soil and water quality. We have a stellar team with decades of experience offering the very best in project estimating, field execution, and project management to allow for on time, and on budget, safe results.

Schedule:
•  Standard work hours: Approximately 8 to 10 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with shifts ranging from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
•  On-Call occasionally. Emergency response work to be expected. Job Summary: A CDL Driver plays a pivotal role in ERC operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation and disposal of materials. With a minimum of 5 years of experience in driving and operating vacuum trucks and or dump trucks/equipment hauling. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our environmental and civil construction projects. Directly engaging with our clients, you will ensure seamless project execution while upholding our commitment to safety and quality standards. You will be a valuable piece to ERC's 1, 3, and 10 year goals and a pivotal part of the team.

•  Must exhibit spatial awareness. Skills/Technical Knowledge:
•  Previous experience in or around civil or environmental construction work or an equivalent is preferred.
•  5 - 10 years of driving experience.
•  Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
•  Completion of High School and/or vocational training.
•  Must have sufficient oral skills to communicate effectively.
•  A valid driver's license to operate vehicles/machinery is required.
•  Understanding of signals used to communicate with construction machinery operators.
•  Familiarity with GPS systems and electronic logging devices.
•  Ability to inspect vehicles and equipment for maintenance needs.
