Loureiro Engineering Associates is searching for an experienced CDL Driver for projects in the New England region. Qualifications Ability to perform each essential duty safely and satisfactorily. Ability to safely operate a Hooklift truck, Tri-axle dump truck, Mason dump truck with or without trailers, including 6 ton and 20 ton trailers. Must pass a drug test and may be subject to random drug tests. Must possess a valid CDL Class A, a clean MVR, and must pass a DOT physical Knowledge of DOT and CDL regulations Knowledge of operating, moving, loading, and unloading many different types of construction equipment Experience safely securing many different types of construction equipment per DOT regulations. Able to follow directions and work effectively alone and in a team environment. Able to use GPS. Able and willing to work with all necessary PPE all day. Able and willing to work dayshift, with night or weekend hours occasionally. Strong verbal communication skills and ability to read, interpret and analyze written and oral instructions or regulations. Responsibilities Operate the truck safely and efficiently on public roadways and construction sites. Deliver equipment, stone, asphalt, etc., to various job sites in CT and surrounding states. Complete logbooks, driver inspection reports, and other reports as required by Loureiro, DOT and CDL regulations. Keep truck clean inside and out and report any deficiency/issue immediately to supervisor. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting or standing Ability to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, or controls. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and other vehicles and equipment. The noise level in some areas of the work environment may be loud but is typically moderate and hearing protection is supplied.
