A Various CDL Driving Positions at FRONTIER COOPERATIVE FR0NTIER COOPERATIVE is hiring CDL-A Drivers for our Semi-Truck Division. As a Semi-Truck Division Driver, you are responsible for transporting various grains, fertilizers, &/or Agricultural products to company storage facilities, elevators, rail shuttles, producer's fields, customer's homes, & local businesses within Central and Southeastern Nebraska. This is a FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY to work in Agriculture These skilled driving positions offer opportunities for training, leadership & career advancement. All driving positions at Frontier Cooperative are local and our drivers are home every night to be with their families. We have over 60 locations across Central and Southeast Nebraska. Our goal is to allow our Drivers work from a FC location that is closest to their residence. Semi-Truck Driving positions require a Class A Commercial License. We prefer that you have Hazmat & Tanker endorsements. However, if you lack these endorsements or a CDL, Frontier Cooperative will assist & provide the required ELDT Training to obtain these endorsements & licensure. EXPERIENCE THE DIFFERENCE. Join the FR0NTIER COOPERATIVE team. General Expectations, Qualifications, & Skills needed for success include, but are not limited to, the following:
•  A Semi-Truck Driver's primary responsibility is delivering grain to elevators, shuttles, &/or producer's locations. Semi-Truck Drivers with hazmat & tanker endorsements haul grain, chemicals, & fertilizers to various locations & to our customers. Attend & participate in regular safety training & defensive driving classes offered by FC's safety department. Ability to communicate & interpret work orders & shipping papers in English; perform Pre-Trip & Post-Trip Inspections; secure & tarp loads; connect hoses & operate various transfer systems or PTO units, & maintain your truck's cleanliness is expected. A general mechanical understanding of equipment is helpful, but not required. All Frontier Cooperative Drivers are required to follow all Frontier Cooperative policies, as well as all State, Local, DOT, OSHA, & FMCSA Regulations & Rules. A genuine desire to be involved and active in our Cooperative is essential for success. Drivers must feel comfortable working around grain & various fertilizers & chemicals. Drivers must be able to work in various climates: this position exposes you to both indoor and outdoor working conditions. All employees are expected to maintain a positive, friendly working relationship with coworkers, patrons, vendors, & customers. Flexible scheduling during peak harvest hours is needed for success in these positions. During peak seasons, Frontier Cooperative operates under the "all hands-on-deck" philosophy when it comes to getting things done. Therefore, drivers will have opportunities to assist other departments as needed to assure our customers receive the best customer service at all times. Additional duties may be assigned to this position to meet the business needs of Frontier Cooperative.
