PROJECT ENGINEER JOB SUMMARY CDL Class A or B Driver with 2 or more years Experience. Driver must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs with the ability to operate a Pallet Jack and 2 wheel dolly/hand truck. Must be able to work flexible hours.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Perform pre and post trip MVI (motor vehicle inspections) in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
- Complete and submit driver logs and inspection record
- Follow and comply with all DOT regulations and safety standards
- Verify delivery accuracy and assure saleable condition of products
- Load and unload cases of product manually with various tools and ensure load is properly secured
- Handle documentation in computerized hand-held device and/or paper as required
- Submit daily customer paperwork including invoices, load orders, and handheld reports
- Resolve discrepancies and report issues to management
- Assist in opportunities to identify process improvements
- Assist with General Labor duties in warehouse and/or in job-sites as required.
- Assist in the installation of electrical or mechanical installation of equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
- Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies, promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Good attitude to perform any work that might be required to get the works going.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS - This position requires jobsite visits such as on and around roadways, under bridges, and in active construction zones.
EDUCATION- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
- Experience with electronics/computers/networking.
- 3+ years CDL driver experience.
- Experience with state Department of Transportation Experience is a plus
