PROJECT ENGINEER JOB SUMMARY

CDL Class A or B Driver with 2 or more years Experience. Driver must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs with the ability to operate a Pallet Jack and 2 wheel dolly/hand truck. Must be able to work flexible hours.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform pre and post trip MVI (motor vehicle inspections) in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
  • Complete and submit driver logs and inspection record
  • Follow and comply with all DOT regulations and safety standards
  • Verify delivery accuracy and assure saleable condition of products
  • Load and unload cases of product manually with various tools and ensure load is properly secured
  • Handle documentation in computerized hand-held device and/or paper as required
  • Submit daily customer paperwork including invoices, load orders, and handheld reports
  • Resolve discrepancies and report issues to management
  • Assist in opportunities to identify process improvements
  • Assist with General Labor duties in warehouse and/or in job-sites as required.

  • Assist in the installation of electrical or mechanical installation of equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments.

  • Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies, promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Good attitude to perform any work that might be required to get the works going.
  • Other duties assigned as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS

  • This position requires jobsite visits such as on and around roadways, under bridges, and in active construction zones.

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

  • Class A or B CDL License

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Experience with electronics/computers/networking.
  • 3+ years CDL driver experience.
  • Experience with state Department of Transportation Experience is a plus
