CDL Driver

Now seeking Transportation Drivers for Cypress Cove.

We are expanding our activities and outings and the department is growing.
CDL endorsement (with (P) passenger endorsement) required.
Part-time position openings.
Daytime and evening availability needed.
$17+ per hour (experience based).
To qualify for our auto insurance, all candidates must be at least 25 years old.

This role assists Residents in their transportation needs by driving company cars and/or buses to and from activities and destinations ensuring the safety of all passengers.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Providing safe and timely transport of Residents to appointments and other daily outings.
Safely assisting residents in to and out of vehicles, including maneuvering wheelchairs, holding umbrellas in inclement weather and baggage handling.
Conducting periodic checks of bus operation including fuel, oil, wipers, fluids, lights, etc.
Maintaining cleanliness of vehicles and logs/records pertaining to vehicle service.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
A genuine interest in and compassion for older adults.
A valid driver's license - CDL endorsement (with (P) passenger endorsement) required - and a clean driving record.
Ability to read and follow maps (electronic and paper-based).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with residents and staff.
