Job Title: CDL Driver - Class A Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Shift: Nights 5pm-5am on a 2-2-3 rotation, including every other weekend Department: Warehouse Prepared by: Human Resources Approved By: Plant Manager Date: 12-13-2023 Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent Must have a valid Class "A" CDL Driver License and tanker endorsement Must have a clean three (3) year driving report Minimum of two (2) years driving experience or completion of truck driver training school Basic reading, writing, and math skills Basic computer knowledge Prior knowledge of GMP's, sanitation standards and FDA requirements is helpful Responsibilities: The truck driver will be responsible for transporting bulk water and other products between our Chippewa Falls warehouses and vendors. May also be loading and unloading trucks, and shuttling trailers on property based on customer order. Overtime may be required at times. Essential Job Duties: Inspects truck before and after a trip, takes corrective action when needed. Communicates with shipping personnel, shift supervisors, regarding problems, product information, etc. Transports goods as assigned between PWI plants and vendors as needed. Follows standard operating procedures including quality checks and procedures for all operations. Cleans and organizes the warehouse in an efficient manner. GMP & PPE Required While on the production floor in the plant you will be required to follow and help to enforce all GMP regulations in the plant. Anyone entering the production floor must follow the GMP rules in their employee handbook, which includes the required hairnets, beard nets, and earplugs. It is also required that all personnel wear safety glasses. Follows standard operating procedures including quality checks and procedures for all operations. Meets food safety and quality objectives and the requirements of the SQF System. Non-Essential Job Duties: Will perform other related work as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor. In the absence of this employee, the direct manager or appointee will cover responsibilities.
