Drivers are responsible for transporting and delivering products to designated customers. The Hill & Markes CDL A Shuttle Driver must be able to drive a truck with a capacity of more than 18,000 GVW, to transport materials to and from specified destinations. Responsibilities Include: Inspects truck, completes Driver Vehicle Condition Report before leaving and upon returning. Make sure truck is safe to drive. Cleans truck cab and box after use. Checks oil and fluids. Fuels up truck. Is responsible for all equipment on truck & secures when not in use. Ensures truck is properly placarded at all times. Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations. This includes documentation of time and mileage. Maintains compliance with current DOT mandates. Maintains a current physical and CDL when required. Follows established reporting procedures in the event of vehicle, property, or personal injury accident. Maintains and pays for retention of Class A or B License and applicable endorsements. Responsible for all Company-owned property. Understands and adheres to Company's Safety policies and procedures. Performs additional duties as assigned. The Ideal Candidate will have: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent experience. One to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. CDL A License with a Doubles Endorsement. Motor Vehicle Record in good standing. Hazmat endorsement preferred. Current DOT Physical Certification required.
