Driver will be home daily, though start times could vary based on shuttle needs. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Following DOT guidelines, handle all local deliveries and pickups (combination 30% non-touch, 50% drop and hook, 10% live unload 10% shuttling trailers) within a 100-mile air radius of Lansdale office in a timely and professional manner; our on-time percentage is of the upmost importance us and to our customer; - Call in all damages and shortages, before leaving account. If leaving any delivery location during non-office hours, leave message on Dispatch phone with any order discrepancies, detention time or other required information; - Notify the dispatcher as soon as they are aware that they may/will not be able to complete their work assignment legally; DOT compliance and providing dispatch with adequate notice of being "out of hours" is of the utmost importance; - Insure BOLs match the trailer and load you are given; - Remain in frequent contact with dispatch throughout the day on all loads; - Maintain company requirements: o Keep daily Logs and inspect equipment daily according to DOT regulations; o Obey all traffic laws; o Maintain entire balance of petty cash minus current receipts for total sum supplied; o Meet with dispatcher once a week to reconcile petty cash; o Complete and turn in all paperwork upon returning to office. REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: - High School diploma or GED required; - Class A CDL driver's license required - Knowledge of ELODs and GPS tracking as trucks are equipped with this software; - Two years' experience, accident free driving, violation free driving WORKING CONDITIONS: - Regularly required to sit, use hands; - Occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; - Occasional exposure to manufacturing plant floor requiring the use of personal protective equipment (ear plugs, safety glasses, bump cap, skid-resistant leather shoes, etc.); - Must follow Good Manufacturing Practice (hair net, no jewelry, no fake nails or eyelashes, no food/drink, gum, etc. in manufacturing Plant) DISCLAIMER: The duties listed above are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed and is not an inclusive summary of job duties and responsibilities.
