Min Hourly Rate $14.20 (Standard); $13.20 (Non-Urban); $15.45 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.00 (Standard); $20.50 (Non-Urban); $21.50 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) part-time positions (with a maximum of 6 hours per week) starting October 2023 at Oregon State University-Cascades in Bend, Oregon. The Outreach Coordinator supports the mission and services of the Career Development Center by assisting in campus outreach, resource development, event coordination, and research related to our shared resource, the Clothing Connection. For more information on the Clothing Connection, visit This position provides students with an opportunity to develop career readiness skills in: Critical Thinking/Problem Solving Oral/Written Communication Teamwork/Collaboration Digital Technology Global/Intercultural Fluency Professionalism/Work Ethic Career Management It will also allow students the opportunity to gain experience in: Research and data analysis Implementing marketing strategies Social media, podcasting, print, and web development Event planning and coordination Position Duties Training/Meetings a. Participate in regularly scheduled meetings through the fall, winter, and spring terms Research a. Manage Google Form for student clothing requests, collect and share student clothing requests to the volunteers at the Clothing Connection b. Research sustainable fashion topics to post and develop resources for students Campus Outreach a. Schedule, reserve, and staff Clothing Connection pop-ups in the Beaver Dam b. Perform outreach in classrooms and student clubs to market events and services c. Create marketing materials to hang up around campus that showcase special programs and events, including the annual Earth Day Fashion Show, celebrating reuse, and the Clothing Connection Digital and Online Content Management a. Regularly update and post resources, services, events, and opportunities for students on Bend Beavs Central, following University policies and standards b. Research social media platforms and make recommendations for use Event Coordination a. Collaborate with other interns and student staff to plan, organize, and staff events highlighting resources for students Additional Responsibilities a. Participate as a student in student assistance programs and events b. Other projects based on Outreach Coordinator interest or student body need Minimum Qualifications Full Employment Eligibility Requirements can be found here: Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered "full-time" by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
