Cath Lab Technician

ASC-29237- Cath Lab Technician -Baltimore, MD - 13 Weeks Contract

Sigma Healthcare team is currently looking for Cath Lab Technician to work onsite at our client's location.

Shift: 07:30 - 18:00

Job Description:

Use imaging equipment to help the doctor detect and treat any heart and blood vessel issues in the patient.

Take the patient's medical history and answer any of the patient's questions before any procedure is done.

Make sure that the equipment is in working order and ready to use.

Execute any noninvasive course of action like ultrasound images.

Evaluate images by checking the quality of the image and the making sure that the area in question is included in the image.

Be familiar with the differences from a normal image and an abnormal image.

Communicate with the doctor the result of the image, Help the doctor with insert catheters and other invasive procedures.

Operating radiologic equipment and troubleshooting in order to solve equipment related problems.

Operating hemodynamic monitoring computer during procedures.

Performing decentralized testing according to protocol, Assisting the RN in planning, implementing and evaluating the care of the cath lab patient.

Coordinating and organizing supplies, equipment and instruments needed for cath lab procedures.

Providing assistance to physicians performing cath lab procedures, Participating in activities to plan, measure and improve the quality of patient care.

Monitoring, recording and communicating as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.

Utilizing knowledge of age-specific needs of patient in performance of duties and responsibilities.

Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff, Assisting with transporting patients.

Following standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Required Certifications/Licensure:

Cath/Angio/EP scrub and tech experience required.

Current BLS.

Must have MD License.
