Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Repair and maintenance of all buildings at Fairplex Repair and maintenance to stalls and tack rooms at Barretts, Racing Barns, and Show Barns Repair and maintenance of all rest rooms at Fairplex, including side door and stalls Repair and maintenance of all roofs for leaks and ceiling tile replacement Repair and maintenance of all floors Repair and maintenance of turnstiles Repair and maintenance of various kinds of locks, panic hardware and closers (Yale, Kwikset, Schlage, International, Jackson, Rixson, etc.) Renovation of buildings and office areas Other duties as assigned YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OR WILLING TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THE CARPENTERS UNION. Qualifications Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Must be a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America union, Local 309 Must be able to operate a snorkel, scissor lift, Hyster, truck, power equipment, etc., around the public and other employees Must be able to handle multiple tasks Must be able to work with minimal supervision Job Requirements: Must be able to move around the grounds with ease Must be able to lift items that weigh up to 50 pounds and place at same or different levels Must be able to operate equipment, i.e., snorkel, scissor lift, Hyster, truck, power equipment, etc. Must be physically capable of walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling Must be able to climb stairs Must be able to use hand-held two-way radio Must have valid California Driver License and a clean driving record Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, day and night shifts Must be able to work in various weather conditions, such as heat, rain and cold
