Overview

The Carpenter position will be responsible for various facility maintenance needs in the field of carpentry.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for maintenance and repair of doors, hardware, millwork, seats, furniture, and associated equipment
  • Ability to cut, pour and level concrete
  • Knowledge of essential tools and equipment used in the field of carpentry
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and meet deadlines
  • Accurately maintain records of labor time, parts used, and work accomplished
  • Perform all corrective and preventive maintenance for carpentry related projects
  • Must be familiar with OSHA requirements
  • Track daily productivity via allocation sheets, daily logs and micro main.
  • Communicate arrival, location and departure with lead Engineer
  • Clearly, effectively and timely communicate work issues with staff
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 6-8 years experience in general carpentry installation and repair of doors, millwork, and related building systems
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent recommended
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrate attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to report for emergencies as needed
  • Must have open availability to work long hours, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Experience with electronic preventive maintenance programs preferred
