Job Overview:
As a caregiver, you will be responsible for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of our residents. You will play a vital role in creating a supportive and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to residents in their homes or residential facilities.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document medication administration.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Monitor and manage behaviors to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
- Implement behavior management strategies as directed by supervisors or care plans.
- Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care, memory care, and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with resident rights and regulations governing home care services.
- Ability to provide direct support and assistance to individuals with varying needs.
- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- First aid certification is preferred.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by state regulations.
