Description

Are you a Certified Peer Supporter looking for a new opportunity?

Recovery Resources (a nonprofit comprehensive mental health/behavioral health clinic) is seeking Co-Response Peer Supporters who are passionate about providing quality care to help people triumph over mental illness and addiction. Recovery Resources has partnered with the City of Shaker Heights Police & Fire Department (SHPD&FD) to provide a new community-based mental health response program and has several positions open.

As a Co-Response Peer Support, you will be partnered with a Co-Response Clinician, and be embedded with SHPD&FD to facilitate "real-time access in the moment" for Shaker Heights residents who may benefit from mental health screening, assessment, and rapid access to support services.

You'll work with the Co-Response and SHPD&FD to quickly respond to calls, live or remote (telehealth). You will follow up with residents for wellness checks and assess if basic needs are met, and residents are linked to needed services. As a Co-Response Peer Support, you'll assist in developing a guide/directory of services and agencies available for refer residents. You'll be part of an interdisciplinary team to review each day's mental/behavioral health calls/incidents and assist in developing communication processes within the team.

Recovery Resources benefits include competitive salary along with
  • Health, dental and vision insurance
  • Health savings account
  • Life insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Retirement plan
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • 11 paid holidays and two floating holidays

Qualifications

Minimum qualification for the position include:
  • Two years of peer support working with diverse populations
  • Previous professional experience in crisis response or crisis intervention roles
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certified Peer Recover Supporter Certification
  • A commitment to the mission of enhancing public safety through community-centered approaches to prevention and intervention.
