Job Description

High Desert Medical Group is seeking a full time Registered Charge Nurse for our busy Urgent Care. This nurse should be a skilled and experienced professional of nursing and patient care. They will report directly to the Director of Urgent Care, and have 12 hour accountability for organizing, planning, directing, coordinating, and providing high quality, timely, and individualized patient-centered care, including the identification and demonstration of abilities to meet special needs in considerations of age and population specific awareness.

Summary of Duties:

  • Provide patient-centered care to a vast diversity of patients regardless of their age, health status, or medical condition.
  • Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration with Care Management when facilitating the transfer of the patient to higher level of care.
  • Anticipates staffing needs and move proactively to respond to them.
  • Facilitates patient-flow through the expeditious assigning of patient care rooms based on patient conditions.
  • Determines appropriate assignments of the urgent care staff by considering each staff's skills, abilities, competencies, experiences, and expertise.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment that complies with regulatory standards including the Patient Safety Goals.
  • Actively resolves complaints and/or conflicts involving patients, patients' families/visitors, and provider staff.
  • Initiate and appropriately participate in a Code White, Code Blue, Code Grey, and Code Red within the guidelines of scope of practice.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $93,600.00 and $124,779.20/year, non-exempt; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current California Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Certification in Emergency Nurse or Critical Care Nurse preferred.
  • Experience in an ICU or ER.
  • Experience in Pediatrics preferred.
  • Bilingual speaking preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize tasks in order to meet all given deadlines and productivity goals.
  • Ability to responsibly handle matters of a confidential nature.
  • Ability to work in a multi-task, high-productive environment.
