Starting Pay Rate Range $17.95 - $20.63 (Determined by the knowledge, skills, and experience of the applicant.) Job Summary The Cardiology Procedure Technician I works within our monitor or pacemaker department. They are responsible for a variety of Cardiology tasks. (i.e. how the device functions, technical troubleshooting, holter monitor, event monitor, mobile cardiac telemetry and 24-hour blood pressure monitor.) Cleaning monitors Maintaining a log of monitors and / or recording monitor data in a database on SharePoint. Demonstrates the ability to generate diagnostic information for physician interpretation. Scan holter monitors. Assists with clerical duties in Cardiac Device Clinic. Schedules appointments within electronic medical record. Makes all attempts to meet the customer's expectations. Completes department required training, (i.e. basic EKG course). Independently performs EKGs. Works collaboratively with all staff. All other duties as assigned. Additional Requirements Required: Education - High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies Preferred: Experience - 1+ years of EKG/EEG/ECG Experience Education - Associates degree in Related Field Physical Requirements: Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
