General Cardiology Opportunity in the Sierra Foothills - Shareholder Track

With a growing patient demand, excellent patient care, and providers' quality of work/life balance taking center stage, Mercy Medical Group seeks to add a General Cardiologist to the group who is open to the following:
  • Offering excellent non- or limited-invasive, non-interventional general cardiology care to adult patients in our outpatient clinic and at our community hospital
    • Provide general cardiology care 3-4 days per week in our outpatient cardiology clinic
    • Implant pacemakers and loop recorders (not required skills)
    • Perform Cardioversion
    • Read echoes, Holter monitors, stress tests, and EKGs
  • Participating in a 1:4 shared hospital call
    • No outpatient clinic on hospital call day
    • Round on inpatients
    • Consult with ED and Hospitalists
    • Oversee the hospital's cardiology lab
    • Perform TEE's (required skill)
  • Collaborating with the hospital's impressive Cardiac Rehab program and staff
  • Enjoying a strong referral base from within our community's providers
  • Partnering with highly trained, competent, and caring support staff

Responsibilities
Patient Care:
  • Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.

Communication:
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Provide clear and concise medical information.
  • Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.

Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
  • Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.

Diagnostic Procedures:
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.
  • Perform procedures as needed
  • Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.

Team Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
  • Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.

Quality Improvement:
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
  • Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.
  • Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.

Compliance:
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
  • Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.

Continuous Learning:
  • Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing medical education and training.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications
  • A valid and unrestricted California medical license
  • Board eligible or board certified in specified area of medical specialty (ABMS or AOA)
  • Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program
Pay Range
$224.00 - $237.00 /hour
