Job Description

A La Grande, Oregon based client is seeking an exceptional Cardiologist with experience to provide compassionate patient care to all ages. An ideal candidate is motivated, collaborative, and works well in an interdisciplinary team.

Required Qualifications

  • OR medical license
  • OR DEA certificate
  • CPR certification
  • Residency in Cardiology
  • Board certification or eligibility in Cardiology
  • 1+ year of experience

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests, to diagnose cardiovascular conditions accurately.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients based on their specific needs, including prescribing medication, recommending lifestyle modifications, or performing procedures such as cardiac catheterization or angioplasty.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal cardiovascular health.
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients with cardiovascular diseases, including managing acute and chronic conditions.
  • Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to promote self-management and improve overall heart health.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other physicians, nurses, and specialists, to coordinate patient care and ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
  • Perform or supervise diagnostic procedures, such as echocardiograms, stress tests, electrocardiograms (ECGs), and cardiac imaging, to assess heart function and diagnose cardiovascular conditions.
  • Conduct or assist in invasive procedures, such as cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, or pacemaker implantation, to address structural or electrical abnormalities of the heart.
  • Interpret test results and communicate findings to patients and referring physicians.
  • Engage in research activities to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of cardiology.
  • Stay updated with the latest research, guidelines, and advancements in cardiovascular medicine.
  • Share knowledge and expertise by participating in educational activities, conferences, and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, diagnoses, treatments, and procedures in electronic medical records and other relevant systems.
  • Adhere to legal and ethical standards, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
  • Comply with relevant healthcare regulations, guidelines, and quality assurance measures.
