Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiac Surgery - Athens, GAPiedmont Heart Institute is recruiting for a Nurse Practitioner to join the Cardiac team in Athens, Georgia. This role will provide excellent patient care to our surgical patients. This opportunity includes a four-day work week with some weekend coverage and an average of one night of call per week.
In this role you will:- Round on postop patients
- First assist on call cardiac cases
- See inpatient consults
- Call/round is 1:5 weekends
- Manage ICU patients
- Provide office consults one day per week with a designated surgeon
- EVH and chest closure in the OR
- Thoracentesis and chest tube insertion and care

Qualifications Qualified candidates will have 1-2 years of cardiac surgery/EVH experience and intraoperative cardiothoracic surgery experience.
Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification
