Job Description:

Our client, a fast growing IT Solutions integrator for the Federal Government, is seeking a Capture Manager to grow their business to the next level
The Capture Manager will identify and capture new business through developing current and former customer relationships, specifically within Federal Civilian programs
They will be responsible for creating and executing plans to maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities while assisting in the capture, transition, and subsequent organic growth of targeted opportunities within existing federal clients
This role is a hybrid remote position with a preferential location in the DC/MD/VA region that requires ability to travel to attend key capture activities, planning meetings and events

Responsibilities:
  • Conducts Capture Management activities for assigned or suggested opportunities
  • Supports overall strategic planning and linking pursuits/capture activities
  • Assumes responsibility for specific capture activities such as teaming, competitive intelligence, pricing, and overall win strategy
    Works with Solution Architects to develop technical approach
  • Briefs capture status to management at specified milestones in the business development/capture process
  • Identifies leads and new business opportunities leveraging past relationships/accounts
  • Establishes and meets new business targets
  • Supports leadership in penetrating existing businesses and developing new businesses in strategic business offering areas
  • Establishes solid relationships and partnerships with key prime contractor organizations as well as sub-contractors on existing and new programs
  • Develops and maintain a healthy and aggressive opportunity pipeline sufficient to support the strategic growth goals of the company
  • Develops strategic account plans including customer profiles, targeted programs, weekly, monthly, quarterly forecasts, and action items

Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience conducting successful business development and leading capture efforts in a federal government contractor environment
  • Experience in leading large proposal efforts ($4M+ contracts)
  • Experience at both large and small federal contractors
  • Knowledge of and experience with federal environment, proposal, acquisition, and budgeting processes
  • Willingness to conduct cold calls and prospect for new business using innovative ideas
  • Ability to network with federal government officials at all levels
  • Ability to gain internal support and operate independently with limited supervision and feedback
