About You


You will design and produce machine codes for CNC machines in order to ultimately produce a broad range of injection mold components and assembly line fixtures, using 3D CAD software (Master CAM).






Job Duties & Responsibilities


  • Assist with the coordination of activities with Engineering, Manufacturing and Production in order to produce machined parts needed by said departments.
  • Provide support for the Tool & Die department by interpreting and translating CAD data into the CAM software to create machine code.
  • Interpret general designs prepared by others to complete minor details as needed.
  • Extract components from mold assembly drawings to produce 3D electrodes.
  • Prepare 3 & 5 Axis machine code for CNC Machinists.
  • Maintain skills by attending training classes in machining theory, machine code programming and CAD/CAM processes as needed.
  • All work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills, and experience.
  • Assume additional related responsibilities as needed.






Specifications


  • 5-10 years of related experience and/or training, including extensive CNC Machining experience and a basic working knowledge of 3D CAD systems (including Solid Works).
  • Ability to write and debug machine code programs using Master CAM for CNC mill & lathe controls, including 3 and 5 axis.
  • Ability to draw solid models for producing machine codes using MasterCam.
  • Experience with injection molding is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and perform new tasks.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must possess good written and oral communication skills.
