Buyer - Contract - Plainsboro, NJ
Proclinical is seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual for the role of Associate - SES Operations (Buyer). This is a contract position located in Plainsboro, NJ.
Primary Responsibilities:
This role is integral to our supply chain and procurement operations, with a focus on reviewing purchase requests, administering contract requests, and ensuring efficient completion of various purchasing activities. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across multiple departments, including Legal, Procurement, Finance, IT, Quality, Compliance, and Product Safety.
Skills & Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in a high-volume/fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Suite.
- Purchasing experience, preferably within the Pharma industry.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred. Relevant work experience may be substituted where appropriate.
- Familiarity with Coupa or other purchasing/contracting tools, SAP and DocuSign is preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Contracting, Purchasing, Supplier Management and Sourcing is an advantage.
The Buyer will:
- Review purchase requests for compliance with purchasing and contracting policy.
- Decide on appropriate purchase channels for incoming requests.
- Liaise with stakeholders on bottlenecks during contract reviews, approvals, and eSignature phases.
- Manage contracts through the contract life cycle, coordinating with Legal as needed.
- Collaborate with stakeholders during the sourcing, review, negotiation, and execution of contracts and projects.
- Conduct purchasing activities for low-risk commodities.
- Support contract process and management activities, enforcing principles of integrity and compliance.
- Provide timely support to inquiries relating to contracts and assist with training users on recurring issues.
- Monitor progress of contracts to ensure turnaround time is within prescribed guidelines.
