JOB TITLE: Buyback Facility Lead

LOCATION: Goleta, California

FLSA EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for supervising the activities at the David Love buyback facility to ensure efficient operations. Responsibilities include the execution and delivery of Safety, Customer Experience, and Efficiency while supporting a culture of employee engagement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

  • Computer paperwork for capturing information for booking (pictures, documentation)
  • Safety oriented and actively looking to remove unsafe conditions or situations.
  • Knowledge of acceptable and non-acceptable materials through Buy Back and ABOP programs.
  • Full understanding of handling of materials for transport, e.g. Batteries/ Paints/ Light bulbs.
  • Knowledge of Buy Back Pro software. Tracking moneys in dispenser, safe and petty cash.
  • Basic Microsoft Office Product knowledge, e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook and working with Windows environments.
  • Ability to perform all tasks that are done by various employees at Buy Back centers.
  • Resolves unusual service requests, equipment breakdowns and schedule changes with timely communications to pertinent individuals.
  • Serves as a positive representative of the Company to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty to the Company.
  • Creates a collaborative, communicative team environment and drive employee engagement with the Company.
  • Provides service to all customers that meets or exceeds customer expectations with regard to the entire customer experience.
  • Troubleshoots cash dispenser, coin machine and buyback pro software.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to interface between staff and customers.
  • Develop a best-in-class team and workplace culture and effectively manage performance and talent development; drive best-practice sharing.
  • Work with management to resolve any issues.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Will assume responsibilities in coordinating workflow for Buyback facility personnel.

EDUCATION: High school diploma or G.E.D

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Position requires excellent verbal and written English communication skills including ability to read, comprehend, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Basic Spanish communication skills desired.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
