SUMMARY:

Oversees the overall management of inventory and operational aspects of the business unit, ensuring profitability, effective product management, and adherence to budgetary guidelines. A deep understanding of the electric motor and drive industry is essential for success in this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures the overall financial health of the assigned business unit, focusing on profitability ratios. Champions profitable growth, enhances operational efficiency, and establishes strategic differentiators.
  • Develops and implements strategies and improvement programs.
  • Generates sales projections and defines objectives for products within the assigned business unit. Leads and enhances operational efficiency, covering aspects like order processing, inventory planning, pricing/margin analysis, new product launches, and overall business unit productivity.
  • All actions align with the business unit's strategy, budget, and operational plan.
  • Coordinates product management activities with Field Sales, Research and Development, Engineering, and Marketing.
  • Formulates and executes comprehensive strategic sales and marketing plans for products within the assigned business unit.
  • Leads the sales efforts for products within the assigned business unit.
  • Formulates and manages the budget for the assigned business unit.
  • Allocates and manages resources to achieve specific business outcomes.
  • Guides subordinate managers and supervisors in operational matters, including resource allocation, personnel decisions, and business priorities.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly oversees subordinate managers and non-management employees.
  • Executes supervisory responsibilities in compliance with organizational policies and relevant laws. Responsibilities encompass interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Possesses a Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; alternatively, has four to ten years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
