Business Principal Project Manager
Location: ADC

About this Position:

This role is responsible for developing and maintaining both proactive and reactive strategies for Purchasing and Supply Chain Center (PSCC), including rotating PDCA on designated activity, setting the plan, tracking progress, and following up on gaps found. Strong leadership and collaboration skills are required both within and outside the Business Unit. This role will include leading and participating in broad scope projects and understanding/navigating complex supplier data/situations. The designee will also be responsible for leading the strategy, developing, and executing the training associated with their area of responsibility.



Responsibilities include:

  • Support Department Business plan performance measurable and targets, forecast impact, monitor results & develop gap elimination plans to achieve Department goals
  • Develop and execute training for associates in impacted PSCC Departments
  • Perform technical in-depth analysis of current business practices and propose improvement options
  • Perform deep root cause analysis through data analysis, engage with impacted PSCC Departments and work collaboratively to understand supplier situation analysis
  • Initiate frequent, interactive discussions with other Business Units in order to ensure two-way sharing of thoughts and ideas
  • Identifies problem areas and develops effective countermeasures to correct problems or potentials problems to avoid impacting operations




Who we are seeking:


Required Experience

  • 6-10 years of experience based on education
  • Meets or exceeds requirement for exempt level 5 requirements

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, project management, human resources, data analytics, data science, computer science; or equivalent experience.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Lead and manage complex problem-solving analysis, investigations, and report writing
  • Create and maintain project documentation and escalate when necessary
  • Analyze operating conditions and specifications to propose enhancements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies on new technology, design concepts, and equipment as they relate to a supplier's capabilities to develop processes and products.
  • Maintain Project documentation & escalate when necessary (office visual management)

    • PSCC management, PTD management, Plant management, PED, VQD, AF, NM, MQ, SCM, Procurement.
  • External contacts
    • Suppliers (part suppliers and 3rd party service providers)

Decisions Expected

  • Review supplier data (holistically and independently) and identify actual and potential problems
  • Work with cross-functional groups to gain a holistic viewpoint on supplier performance/stability, including areas outside of the Division, using key stakeholder input to develop action plans.
  • Lead project / system assessment teams & communicate results
  • Evaluate supplier activity/improvement plans and decide acceptability. Provide constructive feedback and work collaboratively with suppliers to recover when behind schedule.
  • Make decisions about project progress and path forward
